Why don’t they let the teams outsource the designs to like local artists or something. I don’t understand how the majority of these even resemble “city” jerseys.

it's speculated (practically confirmed) that the clippers did that this year.

that's actually what the Nets did with theirs

lots of teams do it. nike does not design the jerseys.

They do, last year the cavs had Daniel Arsham design theirs. This year KAWS designed the nets jersey.

I don’t know. The Nets did that and ended up looking like…that. So that might not be a foolproof plan.

I find the Knicks one to be visually upsetting

The drop shadow on the Knicks one is one of the better ones. Better than just the plain black from last year IMO.

I actually like the Nets one. I am a fan of KAWS so I think it’s cool their artwork is on a jersey. It looks exactly like what I’d picture a jersey made by them would be

Oh I didn’t know. While I’m not the biggest fan of the jersey at least it has some character to it. Most of these are just a black jersey with a different font on them

Looks like me fucking around with PowerPoint effects in the 00's.

It doesn’t mean you have to say yes!

Have like a Kickstarter type thing, local artists submit designs and you have fans vote by pledging to buy the winning design, the one with the most sales is the winning design for the year.
