/u/Dragonolical - I have the CM Sport and I wouldn't do it again. The more classical El Primero models wear with greater versatility and have a distinct charm, whereas Zenith really cheaped out on the bracelet and case to hit that $10~11k price. If the CM Sport really had the fit and finish of a Daytona, it'd be $15k.
I obviously can't speak for quality because I've never seen one in person, but it's the balances of design that makes me like it so much. The color scheme and overlapping dials work so well, and while I'd never use it, the functional and sophisticated look of the slanted tachymeter bezel is so well balanced. I love the daytona as well and the craftsmanship is surely better, but as a chronograph nothing beats the zenith for me. It's unfortunate it isn't made with the same standards as the el primero.
