I have recently been considering picking up the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe. I love the combo of the grey ceramic case and blue dial and it would be a good diversifier in my collection. But at 43.6mm it would also be by far the biggest. I have a relatively small wrist and to me it looks and feels borderline but I think I may just be able to pull it off. So I ask you, r/watches, the age old question...is this too big for my wrist?

Just get it if you love it and can afford it. I never get why people seek validation from anonymous strangers about something nobody’s likely to ever notice you even wear.

It’s the age old “decide for me oh anonymous strangers” that’s pointless.

So what if people dislike or like or agree or disagree with it? Get it if you love it. Simple.

What’s wrong with getting feedback from like minded people. I agree with the sentiment but this is what reddit is for. Let the man ask his question…

It’s seeking validation for something nobody cares about though. If someone says “it’s ugly man, looks like shit. You’re a nerd” would it then affect his morale so much he feels like shit?

If it does, then it’s truly pointless anyway. Why does what people say about how it looks on HIM matter? Sounds like needing validation honestly and just terrible insecurity.

Getting feedback about a good watch or if it’s worth the price etc is far more objective in that sense. About whether it fits you because it may be 2-3mm bigger or even 10mm bigger? Completely ridiculous imo.

So if someone loves the watch and then 10 people say it looks too big then what? They sulk and don’t buy it and wish they had bigger hands? Sounds like a great way to live….
