Hi, im a future FW16 owner and im just curious to hear how BIOS updates are performed. Ive had it recently where my zephyrus g14 updates its BIOS through windows update which is irritating at best and dangerous at worst.

Does Framework participate in pushing BIOS updates through windows update?

Also i read the BIOS update instructions for Linux and Windows. It seems like windows is an executable and linux you should update with the EFI shell. Im more comfortable with the efi shell due to work experience so my question is: do i need to update with the executable on windows when i can just do it in the efi shell anyway? I assume this is just a measure to make it easier for non-power users but i wanna be on the safe side when it comes time to update the bios.

Thanks for the help! : )

I would still prefer to be in control of what my device is doing. I've also had machines at work fail in the middle of a bios update, i didnt really care then because it was one of the many computers we have and it was just replaced but if i had spent multiple thousands of dollars on it i would be pretty crushed.
