Out of curiosity why does r/NBA use streamable when someone uploads a video?

for me its bc it generates an in-feed thumbnail that you can play within reddit.

r/nba doesnt allow video posts and the other sites dont generate that thumbnail.

but streamable unfortunately is region locked in some countries
