Yet by not standing up and taking the presidency they did an inquantifiably larger amount of damage.

Why are the leaders in opposition to the Republicans all fucking cunts? That's a good question, what is not in question is that pritzker is one of said cunts in question. No challenge for house leadership, senate leadership, not the presidency, not even with a universally unpopular candidate that never breached 30% approval offering zero reform running as the status quo in 2024.

When it comes right down to it, the 2024 election was decided by a relatively small number of voters (and non-voters) in a handful of swing states, of which neither Illinois nor California are. You're making vague and unsubstantiated claims that governors of solid blue states are somehow responsible.

Who did you vote for, and in what state?

[–] Hector@lemmy.world -1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

We needed a candidate that could win, and despite being that, both pritzker and Newsom decided not to run, because it was not their turn presumably.

Being accused of bigotry was just a bridge too far for them I guess, much better to surrender the nation to fascists openly seeking on permanently fixing elections and ruling under an unending reign of terror!

Now their weak acts would not be enough to overcome the efforts to fix those elections even if they had the guts to stand up and take it if they do not.

Oh please. 2024 would not have turned out any differently had either of them put in a candidacy then. For one, neither had the name recognition then that they do now. More importantly, Biden ran. Nobody else was going to win the primary. When Biden finally stepped out, bringing in some new candidate that a lot of people hadn't even heard of would have been even worse. That whole episode in Democratic politics was a shitshow, but none of the blame for it lies with Newsom or Pritzker or any governor.

You have conveniently ignored my question, so I will ask it again:

Who did you vote for, and in what state?

[–] Serinus@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Putin. It's the only available vote in his state.

P.S. All Demonrats are evil and let's not talk about Republicans.

P.P.S. Is directly using "Demonrats" too revealing?

On the contrary either one would have handily won with even a mild reform ticket. Kamala could have won with a reform ticket as well but she was chosen to not be reform wasn't she? 30% maximum approval the entire term.

I do not know who is hand feeding you your opinions but Jesus Christ dude, here comes the airplane!

What does that have to do with my point? It doesn't. My point went unaddressed by you that is instead trying to lob misplaced personal attacks.

misplaced personal attacks

This you?

Here comes the airplane!

Even now you won't admit a mistake. Why would you, you are emulating those very same Democratic Leadership that did not admit a mistake. No, it is everybody else's fault they nominated another shit candidate that can't win and would not do anything with it if they did. Don't let a handful of half wits voting with you here convince you otherwise. You are the problem. Admit you made a mistake so we can fix it!

[–] Nougat@fedia.io 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Please refer to my previous comment.

[–] Hector@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

How about you refer to the fact that the Democrats lost both houses of Congress and the presidency to a party fully intent on putting a permanent fix in on elections and ruling unopposed with the worst people in charge.
