So how is it for next year? The two best-performing nations get an extra CL spot, right? So we are basically hoping for deep runs for both Frankfurt and Leverkusen at this point which does seem realistic but at the same time would be a novum for German football.

Yes 2 performing leagues, you would have a good chance if it wasnt for union

It's too early to really tell really because some countries have 8 teams and early on the points get spread a lot more thinly that by the end of the group stages.

England have got off to a woeful start, dropping 16pts already. It'd be kind of hilarious if Man Utd finished fifth and missed out on the CL because of their awful CL performance although their league performance isn't much better.

Spain have already had one club knocked out but having 5 CL teams has negated that especially since Barca and Real Madrid have done so well

Perhaps more surprising is the performance of Brighton given that they're doing fairly well in the PL.
