The Steelers haven't won a playoff game since 2016. The Patriots won the Super Bowl in 2018. It's been four years post Brady, and the results haven't been pretty, but I don't see how the Steelers are faring any better.

The Steelers are not contenders this year. Kenny Pickett is not the answer. Mac Jones isn't the answer in New England, but he has certainly played better than Pickett overall.

The Steelers have barely played .500 football the last three seasons and have a negative point differential in each of those years. There is no indication they are on a winning trajectory.

Why is no one suggesting that Tomlin needs to do better to keep his job? The Steelers have been mediocre at best for years.

Tomlin has major issues - Offensive coaching is the biggest issue I will attribute directly to him.

But overall - as a slight defense.... to be honest with you this roster was kinda ass for years, sneakily so.

Colbert had one excellent draft in 2017, but in the years around it... kinda missed hard. Never addressed the OL etc.

The Steelers didn't have the firepower to compete as a roster for years.

They now have a solid roster - but 2 major issues which will be offensive production, and Cornerback.

Tomlin should eat blame for the offensive coaching (unless the Rooney have more control than we think - they have forced Tomlins hand before in getting rid of BA and getting Todd Haley) but I think Tomlin has been too loyal to Canada on his own.

But Tomlin still has his benefits. ... they are 4-2, you can say they got blown out by the 49ers and Texans, and they did. But Tomlin in a close game has an insane record, and they have got those wins. And the schedule has quite a few more winnable games. This should have been the hard part of the schedule.

Tomlin read too much into Picketts advanced metrics at the end of the season last year with Canada and figured that keeping Canada would keep things going, and all that needed to be figured out was Redzone offense.

But thats not the case.
