Why bother? Fuck the USA. We can't trust them. Focus on the rest of the world.

With steel it's not really an option - the stuff is more heavy than valuable. There was a big deal lately to try and move production towards what's in domestic demand, but it will take time. So, just trying to protect the industry in the short term makes sense.

If what the article suggest is true, and they actually think they can get all kinds of tariffs rolled back, then that's alarming.
