Watch Carney lick that fascist boot again!

I can't wait to see what the middle class will have to sacrifice in exchange for that.

[–] KindnessIsPunk@lemmy.ca 4 points 5 days ago

Working class, middle class was made up to divide us against the real enemy, the rich.

Lead nation on the new UN Haïti mission.

Umm tell me please, how the fuck does one even begin to have a relationship with a world class narcissist that has the brain power of a 4 year old due to being more senile than a turnip?

Is Carney really that stupid?

The guy wants to tariff everyone, that's like his main policy. If Carney is hoping to schmooze it away he's barking up the wrong tree.

due to being more senile than a turnip?

By all accounts he was never smart.

The fool will make us lose to the biggest fool Poilievre in the next election

I really, really hope he's just playing for time, and this article gets the overall strategy wrong. If CUSMA gets blown up and he has no response WTF.

Typical old men thinking there's a modicum of decorum left in the US government.

Just fucking stop trying to be friends with the lying cheating rapist, he's just going to fuck you over.

[–] CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 4 days ago

There's no chance he thinks they're actually friends, everyone knows what kind of guy this is. At best he's trying to stay off the immediate targets list.

[–] IndridCold@lemmy.ca 10 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Why bother? Fuck the USA. We can't trust them. Focus on the rest of the world.

With steel it's not really an option - the stuff is more heavy than valuable. There was a big deal lately to try and move production towards what's in domestic demand, but it will take time. So, just trying to protect the industry in the short term makes sense.

If what the article suggest is true, and they actually think they can get all kinds of tariffs rolled back, then that's alarming.

Fuck trump and the USA.

I’m sorry for my Canadian friends

All levels of Canadian government exist to monetize Canada.

Canada was a colony started to exploit the resources of north america to the benefit of the rich and that has never changed. Everything we produce is for sale to the highest bidder.

As opposed to the nation with no inequality?
