The height of El Clásico, Ronaldo v Messi and arguably the two most dominant teams of the last decade or so. However which team was more successful during this time period.

I think I lean towards Madrid barely

Got to be Barca.

Madrid went all in on European level competition, and yeah they've got one more European Cup in that time, but Barca have a good amount of European success and have basically dominated La Liga for 20 years.
