Lovecraft Mythos - Cosmic Horror

H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos is a shared universe far larger and more terrifying than that of humanity, where ancient, malevolent beings known as the Great Old Ones slumber in the depths of space or time. After Lovecraft's death, the Mythos has been expanded and developed by many authors, including August Derleth, Clark Ashton Smith, and Robert E. Howard. These and many other authors have helped to flesh out the Mythos into a rich and complex Dark Universe.

I, having grown up endlessly quoting AoD, can not pass this thread and not say, that if you haven't seen these movies, take a second and do. At least the third. Bruce Campbell delivers one of the best, over-the-top performances ever. It's silly, it's irreverent, it's chock fulla of banger quotes. Yes it's a slightly misogynistic brand of action hero, but if you can forgive that, it's a treat.

I generally say watch 2 and AoD. 2 is basically a straight remake of 1 with like $100 more budget.

and being a comedy instead of "real" horror

Well, hello Mr Fancypants!
