With a slew of injuries afflicting the Seahawks O-line this year, they brought in future-HOF offensive tackle, Jason Peters to the Practice Squad to shore up the depth.

After spending the past few weeks on the PS, mentoring the backups, he's been elevated to the active roster for the Browns game, potentially even starting for them, if the need arises.

At an age of 41 Years and 280 Days, Jason Peters would become 2nd oldest Offensive Lineman to EVER play in an NFL game, surpassing Jackie Slater (who was 41 Years and 169 Days old in his final game played).

The only player older was Ray Brown, who played until he was 43 years old.

For one last little fun note, here's the oldest O-lineman to play for each NFL team

John Nesser was 45, though it was around 100 years ago and the team is defunct.

I read about him, was tempted to include a mention of him. However Stathead's tracker only goes back to 1950 for game data. Going earlier than that is basically a land of unknowns.

Nesser definitely deserves an honorable nod though

I mean, it's not really honorable though. He's just ahead of the people you named outright. He was an offensive lineman and he started one game and played in 2 in 1921. Maybe his run protection numbers aren't known but his age, position and that he played is not unknown.

He held the record for the oldest overall NFL player for awhile.
