Why the fuck would anyone use a guid as a hostname?
My favorite I've seen in the category was when they had hostnames that were basically the IP address decorated with some bullshit. Like yeeeeeeeeah, that totally makes fucking sense. ๐
I've seen those with public routing servers.
Example: IP-127.0.0.1.dtag.de
Makes sense there or for webservers.
But anywhere else? Lol not really
Why would someone want that as their hostname???
I'd understand mountpoint but that?
