Trump sends a mob to the capital building to stop the certification of an election. A guy on the internet says there were some irregularities.

Never said it was, thats just what you took it to mean so you could treat a stranger on the internet like shit. Theres always excuses from you people. You never take responsibility for anything. Whatever you did, they did it worse. Whatever you said, they said worse. Whatever horrible shit you say, well, they said it first. Like fucking children, terrified of being wrong.
You absolutely are. And the rest of your comment only doubled down on it. Quit equating what Trump did in 2020 to what random people on the internet said one time. It is not even comparable.
Saying this kind of stuff only gives Trump and his supporters justification for doing the same thing or worse next time.
And if you think my comment was “treating you like shit”, you probably need to get off the internet. I was as respectful in saying “you are 100% wrong” as possible.
Their "treating others on the internet like shit" comment killed me when they are being an absolute cunt throughout their comments.
Honestly, I’ve never been so unsure if I’m talking to a real human before.
Yeah, they don't seem to know what they want to say, they've been fingerpointing and blaming and trying to reframe their statements as others misunderstanding when really they just weren't clear.
Just wants to sow confusion if they even realize what they are doing. Because some points are correct, but then there is a load of hogwash, equivocating, and I hesitate to frame it this way because of overuse/misuse but, narcissistic gaslighting tactics.
I didnt, you just took it that way. I was talking about voters, social media morons, no politicians on either side. You, among others, want to paint what I said in a different context because you know Im right.
But hey, if you really are that fucking stupid that you think "No one trusts the system anymore" is me talking about the people IN the system, then you really are one of the dumbest fucker of mothers to even grace the internet with your horrible takes.
So when you said this, you were just talking about all the same people that complain about elections every single election cycle (2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016…)? The people that have never trusted the system? And not the one group that was actually different from every other year?
Cause in Dec of 2020, the maga friendly friends of mine were making this exact same comment. “Democrats complained about 2016, Republicans are complaining now, no difference”. And they were pretty fucking quiet when Trump attempted an actual insurrection.
And in 2028, when Trump runs for his 3rd term, they are going to be making the exact same comment you just made.
You come across as the kind of person that is surrounded by assholes, but doesn’t realize who the actual asshole is.
“No one trusts the system anymore. In 2020, the MAGA said the election was stolen. In 2024, the Dems said the same thing"
You cant fucking follow that? Seriously??? That the "No one" is the people outside the system, not the people in it???? Come the fuck on.
Going in circles now, but like I said, you sound exactly like the maga friends in Dec 2020 who were quiet as a mouse about the actual insurrection attempt.
So my initial response to that statement is to push back against the narrative that they wanted to push forward and are going to push forward again when Trump does the same shit in 2028 he did in 2020.
If your intent was to say people don’t trust the system anymore and you accidentally used a fascist friendly talking point, then I totally agree. But I would again push back that the party that has already attempted an insurrection and is currently sending actual military into democratic cities is a little more to blame for this.
Yes, we are going in circles because you refuse to admit that you were wrong, and jumped to a conclusion so you call me names. These arent fascist talking points either.
The morons who attacked the capitol were rightly called out at the time. Sure, the right wingers tried to down play it as "just a bunch of people protesting" and that "the police let them in.". But we all saw what it was, and the fact that some morons tried to spin it isnt anything new. During the riots that followed the murder of George Floyd, similar things happened only the roles were reverse. With "the left" ignoring or downplaying the bad things that happening. At least 19 people were killed during those riots. When it was a cop doing the killing, "the left" were all over it. When it was looters doing the killing, all of sudden we had to focus on how peaceful the protests were. And they were, Im not going to say they werent. The vast majority of protests were peaceful. But some werent, and in those cases "the left" did the exact same thing that "the right" did during the Jan 6th "protest". They were slow to criticise it, and were quick to make excuses for it once they did. If 2020 showed us anything, its that people these days on both sides are only too happy to have violence, just as long as its to "their sides" benefit.
Let me be crystal clear, so there is no mistake. I do not like either party. I think they are both corrupt and focus on serving the party and their rich donors before the people. I can point to reasons why this is true of both. The media, not any better. It stopped being about truth a long time ago. Now its about clicks and engagement. If that means lying, so be it, they'll do it. And if you do what the truth, or at least to know the biases of the news media thats telling the you "the truth", you have to pay for it on a monthly basis.
What I want is for everyone, left and right, to start looking at the people that want their vote. Not the party they align with. Look at their actions, before the words that come in easily digestible sound bites. The Dems are no ones saviour and neither are the Republicans. But that doesnt mean that you cant find people with in those parties that are worth your vote. The most obvious example of that for the Dems being AOC. She clearly not the pocket of party leaders or donors, and shes never shied away from speaking her mind, even when its been against her political interests to do so.
On the right side of aisle you have people like Daniel Thatcher. Hes not going to be perfect, but he doesnt appear to be raging lunatic either. On the subject of Trans rights for example he was asked "What should the government do about it?" and his answer was "Nothing. We should leave you alone.". His belief is clearly that of actual small government, that that government has no place in telling people how to live. He also doesnt appear to have come out strongly one way or the other on the other big talking points of immigration and abortion. But his being reasonable on the Trans rights issue shows, IMO, that hes someone that can get the party back to the business of not being utter cunts.
Another is Juan Ciscomani. On abortion he opposes the nation wide ban, but he does support limiting abortion to 15 weeks. Which is fine, IMO. And while he supports border security, hes shown that open to reform and protections, especially for children. I cant find anything about his views on issue of Trans Rights.
This idea that we all have to hate and wish death on each other because of a label, is insane. Being one thing, doesnt make you all the things that another who shares that label is. This extremism needs to end, because its radicalising people to the point that they feel comfortable saying that children should be murdered. Not just out loud, but online...
