Anyone feel that the recent deals kinda show the difference between the casual watcher and the more serious ones? Everyone freaking out over Chase Young being traded for less than Montez Sweat seems to either have not watched any football or maybe are just stuck in 2020?

I mean player output is probably only one part of the hype, all things considered. The bears are a bottom pack team who paid a second round pick for a franchise tag (if I had to guess), and the niners are a contender paid a third round pick for a rental guy on a rookie deal who, if he leaves, they get a third rounder back. I don’t think it’s unreasonable that people got more hyped because the teams involved do matter, just as the player outputs do
