A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.
This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

Well the first thing I would recommend is sharing your work with people that you can trust to be honest and that have some authority on what is good. What I mean is, a lot of non-photographers will tell you a photo is great just because it looks like it isn't shot with a phone, even if the photo is terrible. Likewise, a lot of people will tell a photo is great to avoid conflict.
You could try joining a local camera group and that would be a great start to meeting other individuals. In general, I would avoid asking the internet for feedback and would only do it as a last resort.
If your question was more gear focused, for a cars or automotive you will probably want to pickup a polariser filter to help control reflections. For landscapes I would consider getting a tripod and potentially ND filters if you want to go for long exposure. Details on all gear is going to be dependent on what you want to capture.
I guess my last bit of advice is find people's work you like and try emulate it. Emulation gets a bad rep as "copying" but it's an invaluable tool as if you compare your version to theirs, you can figure out what they are doing that you are missing.
Good luck
