I recently upgraded and have put a classified ad for 16gb of ddr4 (so-dimm), for what seemed a fair price. It didn't even get a single fucking view.

Nobody wants to buy secondhand RAM. Too big of a risk that it won't work

Well, they are flying on the second hand market where I live.

Also, I might be wrong, but RAM tends to just work or just fail, and there are 48 ~~euros~~ hours of return period in the platform I use.

Bad RAM can also sometimes cause your OS to be unstable, but it's hard to notice if it isn't bad enough to make your computer crash often

I get that, but with the current prices I thought it might change if you're on a budget.

Yeah you're right I guess. For me buying or selling secondhand components has always been a massive pain in the arse. Sold a graphics card and the buyer wanted a warranty....

When I refused he wanted me to install it for him.

That's where I might be wrong. I put them at 80€, a bit below the others ads for the same thing.

"fair" my asshole. That shits worth no more than 50€ if new. No more than 25€ if used.

Calm down and please stay polite. When that's the listed price by most other sellers, you'd be stupid to ask for a third of it. Now if that doesn't sell then yeah it's probably overinflated. But how would I know beforehand?

Worth to you is different than worth to the market of buyers. Clearly people feel it is worth more than what they are buying it at because they are buying it quickly without negotiation having anticipated a higher price. The highest bidder determines what a commodity is worth.
