She probably thought it was some sort of infiltration attempt by the Kremlin.

I too don't trust Russians who aren't open about hating their government and wanting their government to retreat from invading sovereign nations.

Seems dangerous to say that on social media if you live in Russia ... so yeah, kind of difficult to build trust with foreign social media contacts.

That's a fair position to take, but I know far to many Americans who hold this view while being silent about our occupations and the constant drone strikes.

Fortunately it's entirely possible to be neither Russian nor American.

Well considering that Russia has basically lost a war to a largely civilian-based resistance, and the US seems insistent on sending all of their troops to rather pointlessly freeze to death in Greenland, I'm not particularly concerned about either country engaging in world domination.

Americans tend to just not know we are doing that stuff at all in the first place.

Hard to dislike or be against something. When your too uneducated and ignorant to do much more the breath and blink at the same time.

Wasn't the Iraq invasion one of the most protested things ever?

Didn't work of course, I think to stop a government determined on war you need to push even harder. Remove their ability to govern.

But what about America?
