The president had yet another strange mark on his hands over Christmas, once again raising concerns that his health is not what he has claimed it to be.

Donald Trump—the oldest person to ever be elected president—was photographed with what appeared to be another bruise on Christmas Eve, this time marring his left hand.

The 79-year-old has repeatedly claimed that he is in pristine condition, brushing off public alarm over his deteriorating body.

Some people are claiming it's from his Alzheimer's treatment. I had a senior family member who had bruises on and off for decades, people are looking way too much into this. It's like talking about Putin's cancer when they are going to be given the best treatment there is on Earth to treat it.

People are claiming his mental faculties are failing when the truth is he's just a compulsive egotistical manipulative liar who doesn't care about being right as long as he sounds right. He will make bullshit up on the spot so that the ignorant who rely on the flimsiest of social cues will think he actually knows what he is talking about. This is false hope, just like the Epstein files. He won't just topple over, he needs more opposition than he is getting.

Yeap..... Old people bruise easy. Especially if they are on blood thinner because they are obese and mostly eat burgers.

I'm not a firm believer of any terminal diagnosis from armchair experts but pinning everything to "just a liar" is also off the mark. You can just look at his behavior and speech patterns over the past decade: he has good and bad days but the bad days are definitely getting worse.

There's also other verifiable symptoms like his facial droop episodes, leg fluid swelling, these bruises, incontinence, etc... It all adds up to a pretty bleak outlook. High quality healthcare can do a lot for a relatively fit middle aged man, it does less when you're trying to prop up an obese octogenarian already showing bad symptoms.

Just because he's getting older doesn't equate to getting terminal, and recognizing the symptoms of him getting older is just pointing at the clouds.

High quality healthcare can do a lot for a relatively fit middle aged man, it does less when you’re trying to prop up an obese octogenarian already showing bad symptoms.

This is just vague. Immediate availability of more compatible blood and organ donors, real time revisions by specialists, constant nutritional monitoring. I've seen people last a lot longer suffering from a lot worse than what people are trying to armchair about how long Trump will last. Putin was a lot more likely to die from his cancer than Trump is from his symptoms.

A few things:

  • There's a Venn diagram of "getting older" and "forgetting what year it is, referencing people that have been dead for decades, nodding off mid meeting, 2 a.m. tweet tirades, mood swings, TIA symptoms, recurring MRIs & cognitive tests, etc..." and the overlap is pretty slim
  • Having access to world class healthcare doesn't guarantee anything when the patient is a powerful narcissist. Steve Jobs died from a very curable cancer because he thought he was too smart to die. If Trump's doctors tell him to cut out cheese burgers and diet cokes do you think he'll listen?
  • Unlike a simple [death/remission] cancer prognosis, dying isn't the only ending for the potential systemic issues he could be suffering from. He could deteriorate in any number of ways that can't be smoothed over with PR and leave him unable to hold office. Think paralyzed, nonverbal, coma, etc...
  • The man clearly doesn't have the drive and ambition to care about his longevity. His goal is to siphon money while continuing to live an opulent lifestyle and die in office (however long that may be). Fear of death isn't the same thing as will to live, especially as the decades add up.

Just look at the guy, his healthiest attributes are golfing and not smoking/drinking. Assuming he's just obese and in otherwise perfect health and golfs 40 hours a week (without a cart), a calculator still puts his life expectancy in the mid 80s. Are you really betting that there's some medical dark arts that will keep him functioning indefinitely? Plenty of richer and more powerful men have died in the same situation with comparable healthcare.

Yes, forgetfulness and falling sleep are signs of getting older. Famously happened with Biden as well. Tirades and mood swings have been his bread and butter ever since he ran for president. Recurring MRIs & cognitive tests, yes, I already referenced he was getting some of the best treatment in the world. If anything that matters is likely, it's that he could succumb to Alzheimer's, and he will get all the latest edge treatments for it.

Steve Jobs refused treatment and went all naturalist. Very different. Trump will still get some of the best treatment, and no matter how much diet coke he drinks he will be able to get the best liver transplant money can buy if he hasn't already.

You are the one betting that somehow death is suddenly going to be catching up to him, I'm just pointing out that's not a smart plan and that what people should be getting their hopes up are their own combined actions and efforts to take his regime down. Hell, even if he were to die, Vance is right behind him to continue carrying out Project 2025. Talking about his health is essentially just talking about gossip.
