It kinda does.

Watching something shit in your free time with no cost associated with it vs watching something shit in your free time that costs you 'productive' hours as well because it costs something.

Equals more time lost because now its not just free time but free time + [productive hours x2]

(its productive hours x2 because most people dont make enough money so that money spent still needs replacing to pay for better/more important things)
