My best friend is doing this. Started in sales out of college and always loved cars. Our college friend had a car dealership and was looking to grow it and hire his first non-family salesperson (only other person was his mom). Early 2019 he took a pay cut, moved a few states away, and started slinging used luxury cars. Slowly hired more salesmen, started managing while still selling, moved to sales director, then general manager of the dealership. Got featured in a national ad campaign cause they sell a large amount of cars sight unseen to people out of state. Worked a ton of hours the first few years and scaling back somewhat now. Making bank and I know it’ll only grow as the dealership continues to grow
