Marcus Smart previously has also said "No one cares about that" in reference to the in-season tournament during media day. Is the fact that there are no stakes taking away from this new event?

As a fan I didn't care, but after attending one game I wanty boys to win.

I this just an extra little competition to have.

Why do teams exist? To compete. Just something fake to root for, like every single sports outcome
