“Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America.

“Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also.

“I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland.

I know he's a buffoon, and yet I'm still amazed that this is the President of the United States of America. This is the writing style of an 8 year old!

He knows enough that he is in power and he can do and say what he wants. His entire lifespan has taught him that reality will change to accomodate his wishes. and he is not wrong. So he doesn't have to know how anything works, it will work in his favour if he says so.

She was already learning that if you ignore the rules people will, half the time, quietly rewrite them so that they don't apply to you.

Except he probably doesn't know the word laureate...

And there literally are documents recording Denmark's rights to Greenland. But by trump's logic of "Only cause boats landed there a few hundred years ago," I guess the US doesn't have rights to the land it's on?

Also, trump has done nothing for NATO except weaken it. Other NATO countries are gearing up their commitments in spite of him, not because of him.

Seems like he missed the basics principles (again). Even if the Norwegian government would, they could not do it. It's not up to them ...... "Nobel Prizes are assigned by various committees depending on the category"

The Nobel committee does have politicians on the peace part. Which is a big mistake, as they've made a string of awful decisions. The entire committee has no credibility in the reality based community, thinking Obama, an institutionalist, would deserve it. Then aiby ahmed, su kyi, now a zionist at the tail end of a two year long final solution for their ghetto, lashing out at all of their neighbors under false pretexts with their overwhelming military advantage. That also advocated for a us backed coup of her own country.

A coup that happened already, the military made a deal clearly, they let the helicopters through, the US wouldn't have tried that mission if they had not gave up intel and agreed to stand down. The army is the de facto ruler, will oversee the now puppet civilian government signing over assets and concessions and after resistance forms to wholesale oil drilling for foreign interests sees attacks on oil infrastructure and what have you, the army will get into atrocities, and if history is any guide establish paramilitaries to do the dirty work they don't want to do directly, like run death squads through villages to collectively punish them, paid for by black market drug and weapon sales.

I mention this, because that is the legacy of this nobel prize, that is what will result from the coup she advocated. The nobel committee is beyond a joke, might as well have given it to the president at this point.
