Their defense is crazy good this season. They also have held their opponents to the lowest field goal percentage and lowest 3 point percentage at 41.6% and 31.3% respectively.

And while player defensive rating is not the best stat, it is still interesting to note that among players with at least 20mpg this season, the Timberwolves have 6 players in the Top 10 player defensive rating.

Gobert might have a shot at another DPOY, if they continue their defensive dominance and if the narrative allows for it.

Gobert healthy, ant insanely fit and playing with a chip on his shoulder, mcdaniels step up, naz reid, kat giving defensive effort, Mike Conley doing mike Conley things and slo-mo doing slo-mo things

Don't forget not having DLo throwing live ball turnovers. We were top 5 in the half court last season defensively but had a lot of transition points scored on us.
