Their defense is crazy good this season. They also have held their opponents to the lowest field goal percentage and lowest 3 point percentage at 41.6% and 31.3% respectively.

And while player defensive rating is not the best stat, it is still interesting to note that among players with at least 20mpg this season, the Timberwolves have 6 players in the Top 10 player defensive rating.

Gobert might have a shot at another DPOY, if they continue their defensive dominance and if the narrative allows for it.

They get exposed in the playoffs tho. We seen this before when Rudy was on the Jazz.

I hope they prove the doubters wrong tho

That's what happens when you have tiny sample size.

They're off to a hot start, when they have a shit month it'll normalise. They'll still be either best or near to it. But 5 points better than the next best defence isn't going to stay.

Though I said the same shit about Kings offense, but they did have the healthiest season of all time by a mile. Completely abnormal statistically.

But chances are they don't maintain this.

You're right, but people aren't gonna want to heat it.

Opponents are shooting a hair under 32% on open and wide open 3s against the Wolves. That isn't the defense that's causing that, it's shooting luck.

Jaden McDaniels might actually have a better chance at DPOY due to voter fatigue. Would be great to see a perimeter player for a change!

Our defense was very good last year in the playoffs without Jaden, Naz, and then Slo Mo for the final 1.5 games. Looks even better this year.

So what are you saying, that you have a chance to make it to the finals? Because I got some bad news for u buddy as long as Denver exists Minnesota will never win also KAT is a perennial loser

This is a wonderful surprise. I haven’t been able to watch the games. What changes from last year and this year?

Gobert healthy, ant insanely fit and playing with a chip on his shoulder, mcdaniels step up, naz reid, kat giving defensive effort, Mike Conley doing mike Conley things and slo-mo doing slo-mo things

Don't forget not having DLo throwing live ball turnovers. We were top 5 in the half court last season defensively but had a lot of transition points scored on us.

Don't forget NAW doing NAW things.

Their gonna have a good year . Their for real. Look how deep that roster is . Minnesota turning the corner. Kat learns to play second fiddle to Edward's. Their dangerous, McDaniel, Ant and Kat. That could be scary
