Mason initiation? Is this a cult reference?

It's where Masons were initiated. I couldn't find out much more. I have a friend here who's a Mason and asked him about it. He said he didn't know anything about it. (or wouldn't tell me)

Nah just dudes named "Mason". On their 18th birthday some shadowy people come to abduct them to take them here. Usually the Masons survive, but not always.
They originally started as stone masons but evolved into a secret club kind of group.
Like Freemason?
Yeah, they're basically the same as Masons.
