I actually went in to look at the Pelagos 39, but gave this a try and LOVED the matte blue. I always figured the full size Pelagos would be too big for my 6.75" wrist (and it probably is slightly too big, however not as bad as it appears in this pic), but I was wearing my Forerunner 945 at the time and its 47mm dial is so much larger that this looked reasonable in comparison. It's definitely thick, but I have found it to be easy to wear, unlike the Garmin who's rubber strap and plastic case always seem to catch my sleeves. Anyways, super cool watch!

The original Pelagos is still by far and away the best of the line and the best watch that Tudor makes. The 39 is awkwardly shaped and lacks any of the character of the original, especially in the bezel and dial. The FXD is cool in concept, but in reality is just a messier version of the original with less practical usage and no versatility.

The only problem I have with them is the paragraph of text, but you can't have it all!

I'll die on this hill but the FXD countdown bidirectional bezel offers far more practicality than the standard unidirectional bezel, and not as tall as the OG.

Lol, exactly. Very wordy for a watch dial.
