I actually went in to look at the Pelagos 39, but gave this a try and LOVED the matte blue. I always figured the full size Pelagos would be too big for my 6.75" wrist (and it probably is slightly too big, however not as bad as it appears in this pic), but I was wearing my Forerunner 945 at the time and its 47mm dial is so much larger that this looked reasonable in comparison. It's definitely thick, but I have found it to be easy to wear, unlike the Garmin who's rubber strap and plastic case always seem to catch my sleeves. Anyways, super cool watch!

Imo better looking than any rolex sub ever

[–] pkulak@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Really? I would never wear a Sub because it's a giant douche signal, but holy crap, it's a good looking watch. This is great too, don't get me wrong, but compared to a Sub it's just a blue slab.

I've just said like 4 things that warrant a ban. lol, oh well.

Lol, I’m a huge fan of the older no-date subs for their versatility and practicality, but I think that these ooze character and really stand out in the endless sea of black faced dive watches.

Still the best looking Pelagos.

Well fuck yeah. Skinny wrist for the win!

My favorite thing about this watch is how good the AR is on the crystal…when I saw this watch in person, I thought there literally wasn’t a crystal on it because I felt like I could reach in and touch the dial. It’s a stunning watch and I love the smooth blue color. Looks awesome!

Wow, that's gorgeous!

Price? Cheaper than in America?

Similar cost, but you can claim the VAT when you leave Europe, so the discount can be upwards of 20%. Not sure why, but according to Tudor’s website it might be cheapest in Canada; even cheaper than Italy with the VAT discount being taken into account.

I find most Tudors a bit meh but this is a stunner, great choice.

The original Pelagos is still by far and away the best of the line and the best watch that Tudor makes. The 39 is awkwardly shaped and lacks any of the character of the original, especially in the bezel and dial. The FXD is cool in concept, but in reality is just a messier version of the original with less practical usage and no versatility.

The only problem I have with them is the paragraph of text, but you can't have it all!

Lol, exactly. Very wordy for a watch dial.

I'll die on this hill but the FXD countdown bidirectional bezel offers far more practicality than the standard unidirectional bezel, and not as tall as the OG.

I have several high end watches but my Pelagos is very much my go to daily wearer with jeans and a t-shirt. Great choice πŸ”₯

God I fucking love this watch.

It is just too similar to my Stowa Pro Diver LE on bracelet to justify. Like, almost identical specs (size, helium escape, auto, titanium, etc). My Stowa is in the Sunburst Grey, but still. Plus the Stowa was my wedding gift from my wife, so...

Imo its too bright, but Pelagos is one of best price to product watches, truly magnificent.

Did same thing on my honeymoon. She is still working it off, hope she comes home soon
