I grew up pretty close to St. Mary’s. It’s a small town, probably like 3k people sorta between Topeka and Manhattan KS. A bunch of St Pius Catholics moved there and now they fight about it with the original citizens.

Keep in mind, this isn’t far from Westboro Baptist Church and a surprisingly large population of Mormons near Kansas City. Honestly the fact that they didn’t support this guys is pretty wild considering.

Small town KS has been increasingly left moving. My gay aunt was elected mayor of a different small town. The raid on the newspaper, has people rolling back (some) support in police, and while driving on some backroads near cattle farms, I saw a large amount of signs supporting Biden vs Trump in the election. It was pretty surprising.

I have a St Pius X High School down the street from me; almost got sent there. Private Uber Catholic school system that goes K-12. All the kids who go there are raised super strict Catholic, corporal punishment by super strict nuns in full regalia that carry out the punishments as they see fit.

Mormons settled in Missouri, as Independence, MO is the place where the Second Voming of JFC was prophesied to happen.

The Mormons tried to take over the whole state through violent rebellion, therefore there was an Execute-On-Sight order put on all Mormons in Missouri. So yeah they all had to scatter to the states just around Missouri.

Today both sects of the cult have moved back to KCMO to take over as much of it as they can, including most of Independence — their Mecca.

The Mormons tried to take over the whole state through violent rebellion, therefore there was an Execute-On-Sight order put on all Mormons in Missouri.

Actually, the Latter-day Saints legally bought property throughout Missouri and even founded a few towns, but their neighbors didn't like their political and economic influence and formed mobs to kill them and steal their land. The Latter-day Saints were unable to get support from the corrupt Missouri government, and states rights being a major issue of the time, were also unable to get support from the federal government. They defended themselves with deadly force, but were unable to prevail against the mobs, which were explicitly supported by the state. The "Extermination Order" was eventually signed by Governor Lilburn Boggs, and the Latter-day Saints abandoned their legal property in Missouri.

So no, there was no violent rebellion of "Mormons" in Missouri. There was a state-sponsored genocide, which eventually forced an entire faith to flee the United States in search of religious freedom. One of the darkest moments in our country's history.

This happened 4 different times in 4 different places in Missouri until “Order 44” was put upon them all within the borders of Missouri.

And even then, a militia went over the border to execute Mormons.
