Germany did a huge study of a prescription anti-depressant versus St. John's wort, versus placebo, driven by German hippies who were promoting St. John's wort. Placebo won, and St. John's wort actually had people more depressed. Many FDA-approved anti-depressants have been proven to do nothing in subsequent trials.

Approving a drug based on one trial is really dumb.
