Especially for the non-American lemmings, have you ever had a rice krispie treat? Are you able to make or buy these where you live?

I just ate one for the first time in many many years, and wow I forgot how delicious they are.

I didn't realize that rice krispie treats are not vegetarian but good to know. I have a lot of vegan friends, so I will know to not offer them to them.

They generally have butter (dairy, obv. not vegan) and marshmallows (gelatin, not really even vegetarian). Both have pretty easy swaps on the market, you just have to scope them out in advance.

What do you swap for marshmallows? Besides vegan marshmallows, which i looked up and are $7 for a 10oz bag here, vs $1.25 for a 16oz bag of not vegan marshmallows.

Vegan marshmallows. It's better for my blood sugar that those tasty fuckers are so expensive.

Can you use treacle instead of marshmallow?
