Williams said this on Trae Young’s podcast “From the Point,” referencing the Clippers’ loss in 7 games to the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals.

Williams said, “We started to hear the rumblings that nobody is going to respect this chip so we kind of just took our foot off the gas”

LMFAOOOOO THEY WERE UP 3-1.. and then they choked in such comedic fashion. Kawhi and Paul George looked like Playoffs James Harden in that "must win" Game 7. It was atrocious

But using such excuses now, makes them look even more WEAK. Embarrassing

This is what Lou is saying, not the Clippers as a whole. PG has often said things that go completely opposed to this and Kawhi... Well, he never speaks.

There's alot of things that one can say about the bubble title being easier, like the absence of crowds, which would benefit players that often underperform in the playoffs compared to their regular season self or the 5-month layoff that grossly benefitted older and more experienced teams. Lou's point is just dumb though, especially considering how he played and what he did.
