AI has been better than this for quite some time now. I honestly miss this era of AI-generated images though. It was always immediately noticeably AI but created some absolutely vile Cronenberg-esque abominations that I'd consider a genuine art genre on its own. Now we just get realistic but slightly uncanny slop
The absurdist/Dadaist era of AI was peak.
This current super-realism phase is just creepy because there's still a very tangible factor of uncanny valley in most pictures, but it's getting harder to tell precisely where that factor comes from...
I came to say that too! It was body horror and glorious. 4 arms in the wrong place? Eyes in funny places.
There was an utterly surreal burger commercial someone prompted that I just loved. It wasn't really good, but it was a lot.
Scrolled through my gallery some time ago and found some of those early AI images from 2023 or so. Its insane how much has changed in 3 years.
Yeah this is like stable diffusion 3 quality
