If you can give me my most niche hobby with tits, I’m going to click it over the video without tits

[–] JustAnotherPodunk@lemmy.world 58 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Especially if your niche hobby is birdwatching!

[–] elvith@feddit.org 10 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Now I wanna see tits watching tits with …tits?

[–] ToastedRavioli@midwest.social 29 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Id prefer to see a nice pair of boobies

[–] AlfalFaFail@lemmy.ml 21 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Raise you a pair of great tits.

[–] degen@midwest.social 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I like how the tits' tits are bifurcated

[–] AlfalFaFail@lemmy.ml 6 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Oh damn. I posted the wrong photo

[–] felbane@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

How do I delete someone else's comment?

[–] FinjaminPoach@lemmy.world 8 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Tits, boobies, and great-breasted birds!

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 12 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Really? When I see a video like that, any horniness is overruled by the ick factor of using sex to advertise. If you need to show off your boobs to get views, I assume the content beyond the boobs isn't worth watching

[–] TubularTittyFrog@lemmy.world 7 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

what if she bounces them though?

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 10 points 3 weeks ago

Same thing as a subway surfers clip playing in the corner

[–] kkj@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

In what way is she showing off anything but the board she's repairing?

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

They said "with tits" and that's not how I would describe the video in the post just because the host is a woman so I didn't think they meant this one in particular

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social -3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

That style of shirt is pretty much designed to draw attention there. No slut shaming or anything at all, but she knows what she is doing.

[–] Jyek@sh.itjust.works 7 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

You cannot even tell from the thumbnail if she has substantial breasts anyways. She could be a mastectomy patient for all you can tell from the image. You assuming this is sexual is way more objectifying than anyone clicking the attractive woman video because attractive woman. You are imposing your personal sexualized assumptions about her because she has a little midriff showing. Midriff is not inherently sexual. If it is sexual to you, that's a signal that you may be objectifying her.

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 0 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Yeah, I figured someone would make this bad assumption. There are more thumbnails than just the one in this thread and wouldn't you know, every shirt she owns shows her belly.

I said I wasn't slut shaming and I meant it, but she is obviously trying to look sexy, and that's absolutely fine. There are plenty of guys with great builds wearing tank tops in YouTube thumbnails as well. I don't blame any of them, and I'd do the same.

Also, there is a difference between making "sexualized assumptions" about someone, and noticing that they are dressed in a sexy way. I've personally spent a lot of time on nudist beaches and I don't even think complete nudity is "inherently sexual", nevermind a midriff. That doesn't change that she is obviously accentuating her sexual appeal for these videos. That's not inherently a bad thing, but it's there.

Hard disagree for me.
There are tons of ways she could upsell her videos and this shirt is not one of them. It's a pretty regular shirt any woman can wear. Thinking she's trying to look sexy for the videos is making assumptions that she shouldn't be wearing that on camera and she should be more prude, because otherwise she's just "using" her appearances to gain viewership.

This is not twitch's jacuzzi streams, just a normal woman presenting a video.

Edit: just to add, I'm not saying you specifically are of this optic, but generally the 2-brain-celled incels will latch on to these points and go on to make the most toxic comment you'll ever see. Then we wonder why there are so few women on YT or in tech in general.

If your not gonna bother reading a comment, why reply?

[–] Orygin@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

If you're not gonna read mine then same?

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 0 points 3 weeks ago

I did. You found a pigeon hole and stuck me in it. Then you realized I didn't fit, but you sooo badly wanted to say that shit that you slapped a disclaimer on the end that makes the whole thing pointless.

There is not a damn thing wrong with trying to look sexy on YouTube. I made that perfectly clear, several times in fact because I knew there would be people looking for this stupid fight.

[–] lessthanluigi@lemmy.sdf.org 8 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Idk man, for some reason sometimes I prefer the hobby videos that don't have tits, or at least who gets more into the hobby/has better details.

[–] TubularTittyFrog@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

i like the hobby videos of a graying old guy shouting at the clouds about the downfall of civilization and the need to prep.

[–] lessthanluigi@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Now we're talking! That or a guy constantly ranting into the mic about paranoia and politics while he teaches you about internet privacy

[–] TubularTittyFrog@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

THEY ARE WATCHING YOU. and even if they aren't... THEY WANT TO.
