There seems to be a starling (though perhaps not unsurprising) pattern when comparing Dame and Giannis's +/- .
So far this season, Dame has average more minutes (nearly 4) than Giannis (33.25 v 29.6).
However, Giannis +/- is standing at 3.75, whereas Dame's is in the negative: -6.75
Outside of their very first game of the season (in which the +/- differential was in favor of Dame by 25 points), Giannis's +/- has been more than (or in one case equal to) Dame's.
In fact, despite the fact that Giannis was behind 25 points after the first game, there is a 10.5 differential in +/- between the two in favour of Giannis (it would be 15 if the first game were not counted).
See a break down in the table below.
So how does one explain this or account for this? What are the reasons for such a drastic differential given that the two share most of their minutes together and despite the fact that there is such a small differential in the minutes played (3.6)?
