Williams said this on Trae Young’s podcast “From the Point,” referencing the Clippers’ loss in 7 games to the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals.

Let’s be honest. No one was saying Mickey Mouse ring shit until Lebron won. If the Clippers had won it the championship would be looked at just the same as Torontos. And tbh KD and Klay got hurt in that series and No one gives Toronto shit. (And they shouldn’t)

The point of the whole season is to win the championship. To say you don’t want to because it won’t count as much is such bs and is a lie to protect ego.
