I was completely hopeless, thinking this it. Lo & behold, the sound was miraculously completely normal, as if it had never been near any water to begin with. However, I am still very worried about internal corrosion that could bite my ass in the future. Is there anything I should be particularly attentive to?

I guess IEM's may be more delicate than the average earphone but I accidentally left my apple earpods in my jean pockets countless times when they went through the wash and they were always fine, ended up dying maybe like a year later I'm assuming because the cables were fucked. Wires were visible and messed up from constantly being in my pocket. But I don't think the washing machine had much of a play in their demise.

Someone might have to correct me if I'm wrong but I think if you take care of them as usual there shouldn't be too much to worry about.
