The Bulls and DeRozan have discussed an extension, but the sides remain apart on years and salary, and the 34-year-old DeRozan wants to see where the team goes before committing to a return.

The source for the "they want to keep DeRozan" thing is from October. If they've finally decided to commit to the rebuild after watching this team play for a few weeks, then it doesn't mean anything
