I'm not on the side of religion, but that's some bullshit.

As long as they ban all prayers, I'm all for it. We're not living in 1026, we live in 2026. We have science, we know all religions are bullshit, it's time for humanity to move on from the horrors of religion and the only way to do that is to just outright ban it because people just won't stop believing in fairytales on their own

I have no problem with religion as long as they keep it to themselves. I think it's valuable in that it helps a lot of people cope with all the horrendous bullshit we're all exposed to every single day. Science certainly isn't going to do that for them.

That is the problem though: No religion has ever kept it to themselves. Religion is not about the supernatural, that doesn't exist. Religion is always (and has always been) about controlling the masses. Tell them some invisible sky creature will take care of them just as long as they follow these rules:.....

There are many more, better ways to cope with bullshit and yes, science made that happen. Psychotherapy and Psychology both are what they are because of science and both are a hell of a lot better than religion.

As far as I am concerned, religions, ALL religions, are a break on human progress, and a force for evil in this world.

I'd just like to know which problem they are trying to solve.
