Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

A senator, and minority leader, is more than a dude who complains and votes whenever they can, and occasionally calls the president an unhinged asshole on social media.
Homie could walk from skyscraper to skyscraper in NYC calling out CEOs individually and gather an insane crowd behind him doing so.
Make a spectacle, get attention, start trouble. There is a genocide and a war on. Paint “impeach” on your chest and start running around the Lincoln memorial, lol. He can do shit, obviously, because he has a huge pulpit.
But he won’t. And he doesn’t deserve this defence simply because he doesn’t have the votes.
Yup. A human turtle ground Obama’s ambitions to dust as Senate minority leader. They are definitely capable of more than they’re doing.
It's not a matter of not having the votes, he literally has no official role in impeachment until the House passes it first.
He could say "Yes, lets impeach the fucker!" but it has no more weight than you or I saying it until the House passes it first.
Of course it has more weight! He's Chuck Schumer. He could go on a bunch of news shows and say it. He has a platform. Politics isn't just about voting and procedures. It's about influence, persuasion and inspiration.

Hakeem Jeffries is House Minority leader, not Schumer.
I think you greatly overestimate what that power actually is. Most Americans know Sanders and AOC better than Schumer. Even if he has the name recognition and respect that some of the other party celebrities have, it would still be shouting into a void.
Being vocal isn't going to cause Mike Johnson to suddenly put articles of impeachment up for a vote and there are not enough Republicans in the house that would force the issue.
The dems run their party from the inside. As the eldest crypt keeper Schumer has control of a cadre of dem reps who will vote for whatever he tells them to. He has enough of them that he can often single handily win or sabotage (mostly what he does) whatever the democrat party is doing.
Schumer's political platform is Israel First so he and Trump have been getting along swimmingly this term. That is why he won't use his leverage to get impeachment votes.
