I really hate these articles and extreme reactions. I have debilitating chronic pain from a rare nerve problem and the only thing that helps are opiates. Yes it’s dangerous, but a lot of these people are taking much more than prescribed, that’s where it becomes serious. They are abusing it. And sure it’s easy to abuse. But so many medications, like antidepressants have serious withdrawal effects, as serious as painkillers.
