I'm a film/media composer.

Every entrepreneur thinks about quitting. I have thought about quitting myself a lot too, but crawled back out of that every time so far.

This time I am however again really thinking about just finding a fun regular job.

The issue for me is having no self-control/discipline. So i just get distracted by other things like tv/gaming. I've tried every self-help book, every tip or trick there is, but in the end i always have these periods where i don't have many gigs, i should be finding new gigs, but i just can't get myself to do it.

I'm still nowhere making consistent money. I know i have the skills to do it, but if i keep getting distracted with weeks of not doing anything, is it even worth pursuing?

Isn't a regular job, where someone tells you what to do just better cut out for me? Having someone accountable for what i do?

What are your experiences/advice on this matter?

If you can’t hold yourself accountable, you should close shop and find a day job.

That’s all you need. Accountability to Yourself. Good Luck.
