Demand is low, profits will be thin or non-existent, and there is already monster competition in the space. Three strikes, this idea is out.

There are only two kinds of failure that matter.

A failure to try. You don’t go far if you can’t leave the launchpad. You tried. This is not you.

The second kind of failure is a failure to learn. This is not you either. You learned something. It had a price tag. Most real lessons do.

So keep on grinding it out, success is just over the horizon.

Google ‘SBDC & Your State’. This will connect you to your local Small Business Development Center. They will have a lot of free and low-cost resources and be a valuable resource, whether you are starting a new business or purchasing an existing one.

The real question here is: ‘Does my start-up HAVE a Market?’

If it does, pivot and profit.

If it does not, pull up stakes and start prospecting again.

Good Luck.

If you can’t hold yourself accountable, you should close shop and find a day job.

That’s all you need. Accountability to Yourself. Good Luck.

You’re not a failure. There are only two kinds of failures that matter. A failure to try kneecaps you out of the gate. A failure to learn costs more over the long haul.

You got your hopes up, you ran your mouth a little and started spending your earnings in your imagination. There is literally nothing wrong with any of these things.

This was a lesson on counting your chickens before they hatch. If you learn the lesson, that counts as success.

If it were me, I’d revisit the topic with her in a few weeks. Who knows, maybe you’ll wind up opening something on your own.

The Power of Positive Thinking. It’s a little preachy, but absolutely transformative. It’s like giving yourself a superpower. I recommend it to everyone.

Some people can handle their business and their weed. Don’t blame the smoke for your lack of action. Own it. Clean it up. Be better. Plan your work then work your plan.
