My MS in Statistics was online, and it was worth getting me the job I have now. You might be a little outdated in your knowledge, but these days a lot of universities put their programs online for remote students. You attend the same lectures, do the same assignments, and take the same tests as the in-person students. It's every bit as rigorous and reputable. You certainly don't say it was an "online degree" in your resume - it's just a degree from that institution, which you obtained as a remote student.
