Hey everybody, today I think I did a dumb thing with my Arya Stealth: I saw on the exterior of the left pad a piece of dirt (between the exterior metal grills and the foam that protects the driver) and I tried to pick it up with a pair of tweezers, but I didn’t take in account the “magnet” part of the driver, so the tweezers were attracted to the driver and made contact, even if softly.

I know planar magnetic drivers are fragile but I’m not an expert and so I’m asking you if there’s a change that I damaged the driver.. I can’t hear a difference in sound but I’m a bit worried.

Btw, the headphones weren’t connected to any source while doing this.

The place where the tweezers got attracted from is the one I highlighted in the picture, they made contact but I clearly didn’t push or anything, I then just pulled it off; is that middle part particularly fragile?

I wouldn’t worry, if they were super fragile then they’d break every time they were dropped from a very small height (say, slipped off the sofa). They’re not as fragile as you may think, and they’ll be absolutely fine.

You’re right I’m probably over reacting and worrying about nothing, I can’t thank you enough for putting my mind at ease about this!
