Welcome to the News community!

Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

You need to learn more about the Boston Tea Party. My username is a start.
Huh?
A bunch of rich smugglers were mad the British seized their untaxed tea, and we're selling it.
The smugglers had a small amount of tea, but we're being undercut by legal tea. If they sold their tea, it would be the end of their business.
So the attacked the ship holding their seized tea so no one could buy it.
They then claimed it was for the benefit of colonists, and the colonist should clap because the smugglers were going to sell what they had at like 10x the price...
If this isn't a parallel to trump fucking with ME oil to increase the price of American oil, can you please elaborate how?
I'm going off memory, but that's how it went down

Yeah...
That articles agrees that it was wealthy smuggler like John Hancock who planned it, and that they used "useful idiots" that acted against their own interests...
Did you forget the part of the comment where you apologized for being wrong?
Did you misunderstand that article so badly you think it disagrees with me?
Did you even read it?
I have so many questions, but I know you have no answers.
For anyone else reading this, the Boston Tea Party was citizens revolting against corporatism, which is why this aspect of its importance isn’t taught in traditional schools.
