Why would they have to block anything? Surely a real Christian wouldn't be interested in any of that in the first place!
Yes but the devil plays weird tricks so they may be tempted by those.
I like how it's always Satan playing tricks.
Why isn't it their god just making sure they're worth getting into the afterlife?
It gets so so much worse once you unpack this.

So, instead of just making a swarm of loyal creatures, he decided to be playful and make those creatures eternally ashamed of themselves, struggling to earn His approval even when He actively made their lives miserable through cataclysms, genocides, and all sorts of calamities.
He's literally a celestial "why are you hitting yourself?" bully, expecting to bully billions of people into servitude.
It makes more sense from the Gnostic mythological perspective. When you frame the Old Testament God as a Trump-type character who ignorantly claims to be all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful, and the only God, because he really doesn't know any better, then the behavior you see in the Old Testament kind of tracks.
Fair enough
A lot of the Christian god seems to be very human for being a "higher power."
And if gayness is wrong, why did he make his creatures (non-human) participate in it? Homosexuality has been documented in thousands of species around the globe.
Because only humans are intentionally and thoroughly engineered after the God himself, the rest is decorations and game, obviously.
do not ask why God has urine and semen coming from the same place, where did He take inspiration for a woman and why the hell did He create periods, or a million other curious questions
Because it literally makes zero sense
