This strain is spread by close, intimate contact. Keep mice and rats out of your home, clean up their poop with a wet paper towel if you find it. This will help prevent poop dust from being kicked up, which is how the virus is typically transmitted.
Yes Hantavirus is scary. You can pretty effectively protect yourself, and if you walk in somewhere and happen to spot mice poop just chillin โ politely inform whoever is living with mice about what I just told you and leave.
