Because there is a dream of being an entrepreneur that people want to pursue that is who this sub is mainly populated by. They have an idea of some kind or skills that they feel could result in something, but they don’t know an incredible amount of stuff, and aren’t really in good positions to become entrepreneurs, so they pay other people to find out what’s not working. Where there is a want there are people to fill that want.
There’s also a lot of people on the other side who started as uninspired wantrepreneurs who realized that they themselves are a market and tricking people like them can work because they got tricked. It’s like a self fulfilling recursive market. Entrepreneurship is the only way out if you’ve taken the corporate path. It’s the last dream of creativity and ambition that’s left, no more being a rockstar or a movie star. It’s kind of like an entertaining daydream for people to stew on.
